baptist hospital

Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women opened its doors in May 2001 as the area’s first and only freestanding women’s hospital. Since then, the hospital has delivered approximately 70,000 babies and serves as a community resource for enhancing the quality of life for area women and children. In late January of 2015, hospital leadership was proud to open the Spence and Becky Wilson Baptist Children’s Hospital, further sealing its commitment to area families. The children's services are highlighted by a 10-room pediatric emergency room, fully staffed 24/7 by an array of pediatric specialists, and houses the Pediatric Eye Center, the area’s first comprehensive eye center for babies and children. The eye center offers families the full continuum of care under one roof, including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, surgery and follow-up care. The addition of the Universal Parenting Place will provide support for parents throughout their parenting journey and is a perfect complement to the hospital’s growing pediatric and family-focused services.
